New sales director for DACH region – Danmatic Group

After almost four decades in the baking industry, Mr. Johannes Rustler will retire by the end of the year. The baking industry is something special. Many people who get introduced to the baking industry get hooked and stay within the industry for the main part of their career and become true industry specialists. Johannes Rustler is one of the true industry specialists, who has navigated the baking industry for most of his working career, and we are glad to have had the opportunity to tap into the knowledge of an industry specialist such as Johannes Rustler. We thank Johannes Rustler for his contribution to building Danmatic activities in DACH, and we wish him all the best for his future life.

We are also grateful that we can present the new Danmatic Sales Director for DACH in Mr. Klaus Dornberger who lives his passion in the baking industry. Klaus Dornberger is an industry specialist with experience in both implementing machines in the production process and turnkey project in doing development and realization of green- and brownfield bakery projects worldwide for more than 25 years. 
The combination of technical background and bakery industry insight is the best possible background for heading the Danmatic sales activities in DACH. We welcome Klaus Dornberger to the Danmatic Team. 

Klaus Dornberger will join Danmatic as new Sales Director for DACH from August 1st 2025. Klaus Dornberger will secure a smooth transition by working in partnership with Johannes Rustler until year end.

Increased capacity and cost reductions of up to 35%

The collaboration with Danmatic has been an exciting journey of more than 25 years and has contributed specialised know-how and expertise in the form of unique solutions and new technology implemented at the company. The development focus has primarily been on our decoration and tray handling equipment.

Excellent development collaboration on decoration

With Danmatic’s moistening roller technology for bread decoration, we have achieved a reduction of up to 30% of the expensive topping material. The excess topping that lands on the dry conveyor can be reused by only wetting the products, resulting in significant savings. At the same time, we have reduced cleaning costs as only the bread is moistened and not the conveyor itself, which saves us production downtime for cleaning, and from an environmental perspective, we also save on cleaning products.

Increased capacity and production output

Heavy lifting and less handling of trays around the production line have resulted in a more automated process, increased employee job satisfaction and reduced costs. Danmatic’s Tray Handling System has given us savings of up to 35%. The system automatically handles the filling and emptying of racks. The racks are fixed by a fixture that ensures that each rack is correctly positioned regarding the rack handling. Depending on the model size, the system handles 250 or 750 trays per hour.

Close collaboration is rewarding for both parties

Danmatic has been our preferred choice for turnkey projects from silos to mixers and from laminating lines, bread lines, first proofers, final proofers, cooler conveyors and robotic packaging.

In early 2023, we completed our largest development project to date, where Danmatic newly developed an automatic tray handling system with a capacity of 850 trays per hour. Add to this fully automated rack handling and the decoration of an exciting new bread concept.

A partnership that has not been without its challenges, but together we have overcome them and given both parties crucial knowledge so that today we have a robust, efficient and modern bakery that we are proud of.
